Following the advise of the team at EquiSafety, I purchased this jacket in a medium. It fits beautifully (i'm a curvy 5'1"). I've used this jacket for hacking around the windy and wet Northern Pennines and it's lived up to it's promises of keeping me warm & dry. The red orange colour makes a lovely change to my usual hi viz yellow.
This is a lovely bright jacket that's a good fit. I've had quite a few compliments on it and I've only worn it once so far. My friend bought the yellow Inverno jacket so we are easy to spot on the roads. Only improvement would be a chest pocket for my phone, so it doesn't move about when I'm riding. The jacket has some warmth itself, but is roomy enough for layers underneath. I'm usually a size 8 but after getting advice from Equisafety I bought the XS, which gives me room for a body protector if necessary.
Had very helpful guidance from Lorraine about sizing. I ordered the child size, not sure if the child size was what I was sent though, it says X-small on the jacket. The fit is extremely roomy and the sleeves are quite long for someone who is only 5ft tall. However the jacket looks smart with the sleeves turned back to the right length with the black lining showing and there is plenty of room for lots of layers underneath. Really like the orange red colour, very bright without looking like I work on the roads! Wore it out to ride today and it is lovely and warm. Pockets are roomy enough for phone, keys and plenty of pony nuts.
I’m not sure about the warning triangle but it folds away neatly into the neck. I’d prefer to have the warning printed on the jacket itself, it would look a lot neater. It would also be improved if you could pull in the waist when you are as small as me. All that being said, it is a practical and stylish piece of safety wear that I would recommend.
This coat really makes you stand out on dull days and in dim light. Fully waterproof and a great fit.
